How to sign up for a Yoopyou profile

If you cannot sign up for a Yoopyou account try the following:

.3. X (close) out your browser - then reopen a new browser page and try signing up again.
How do I change my personal profile and information?
Make sure you are logged into your Yoopyou account.
Click on „Profile” in the top navigation menu from any Yoopyou web page.
You will be taken to your „Raw Data” tab. Click through the appearing tabs just like „More About Me”, „Search Preferences”, „Photos” and „Settings”. Find the information you would lkie to change, and do it!
How can I change my email address?
1. Start by making you are logged in.
2. Click „Profile” in the top navigation menu.
3. Select the last tab called „Settings”, and click on „Changing registration email”.
4. Fill out the next two fields („Current password” and „New e-mail”) and click on „Modify” button.
You will receive an email to your current email address asking you to confirm the email change. Follow the link in the email and confirm the code and your email will be changed to the new one you assigned.
If you do not have access to your old email account, please send us an email with the following:
- Your old email address
- Your password for the account
- The email address you want to change it to
I forgot my login email
For security reasons, Yoopyou will not confirm the email address of any account.
We advise that, to write down all of your emails you usually use, and try to get a new password. Maybe one of them is your correct login email address. Don’t forget to check your emails.
I forgot my password
If your forgot your password, click on the „Forgot password?” link on the Yoopyou Log In page.
You will need to enter the email address you used to register with Yoopyou and click „Send Me!”. We'll then email your a new password to that address. After logging in, you can change this system generated new password to your choosen one.
Click here and follow the instructions.
Just enter the email account you signed-up with, and we will mail you your new system generated password. To activating your new password click the link in this email.
Please enter your email address.
If you do not appear to receive a password sent to your address, please check a few places in your account. Check your 'Junk', 'Spam' or 'Bulk' folders to see if the message was accidentally filtered there (not uncommon with web mail clients like Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo).
Also, by adding info@yoopyou.com to your address book or list of known senders you should keep the password message from being accidentally filtered as spam.
I am not getting Yoopyou notifications (verifications, password requests, friend notifications, newsletters, etc) in my personal Yahoo email account.
If you are not receiving our verification messages or other Yoopyou notifications in your personal Yahoo email account, you may have blocked Yoopyou notifications without realizing it. To check and see if Yoopyou notifications are being blocked in your Yahoo account: 1. Log into your Yahoo! e-mail address account – 2. Click the options link 3. Click the block addresses link 4. Choose the email address listed as @yoopyou.com / @mail.yoopyou.com / (anything with @yoopyou.com) 5. Click the Remove Block button RESEND YOUR YOOPYOU VERIFICATION CODE, PASSWORD REQUEST ETC
NOTE: if you still do not receive your Yoopyou notifications do the following: 1. Log into your Yahoo! e-mail address account – 2. Click the options link 3. Click the “Spam protection” link 4. Under the “Spam Filter” section check the “Save these messages in the Bulk Folder for” button and choose “1 month” from the pull down menu 5. Under the “Mark Spam + Not Spam” section, beneath the words “When I mark a message in the Bulk folder as Not Spam” check the “Move the message to my Inbox” check box 6. Click the “Save Changes” button at page bottom 7. RESEND YOUR YOOPYOU VERIFICATION CODE, PASSWORD REQUEST ETC 8. Log into your Yahoo! e-mail address account – 9. Check your bulk folder for the Yoopyou message you sent 10. Open the message and click the “not Spam” button > this will send the message to your inbox and you should now be able to receive Yoopyou notifications
How can I make Yoopyou my homepage?
If you are using Internet Explorer:
1. Under the "Tools" menu, click "Internet Options".
2. Click on the "General" tab.
3. Type "http://www.yoopyou.com" in the text box, then OK.
If you are using Firefox:
1. Under the "Tools" menu, click "Options".
2. Click the "General" tab.
3. Type "http://www.yoopyou.com" in the text box, then OK.
If you are using Firefox or Safari for the Mac:
1. Click on "Firefox" in the top left corner and select "Preferences".
2. If you are not already on the "General" tab, click "General".
3. Type "http://www.yoopyou.com" in the "Location" area.
4. Click the "Enter" button on your keyboard then close the "Preferences" window.
If you are using Netscape 7.0:
Under the "Edit" menu, click "Preferences". Under the "Home page" section, in the "Home page location" text box, type "http://www.yoopyou.com". Click "OK."
I can't view my profile (profile not available)
If you are not able to view your profile or if you are seeing a page saying your profile is not available : log in and then log out of your Yoopyou account (click the log out link) > then log back into your account > then hold down the "shift" key (on your keyboard) and click the reload (refresh) button on your browser (f5 key on your keyboard) you may have to do this process this a few times (log out > log in > hold down shift key / click refresh).
If that doesn't work try clearing your browser cache and cookies - in Internet Explorer click the "tools" pull down menu>click internet options > general tab > click delete files and then delete cookies > ok...then try logging back into Yoopyou. Sorry for the hassles.
How do I upload a photo?
To upload a photo from your HOME page: Click the "Upload photos" link > you will be at the upload photo page > click "Add new photo" button >click the "browse files" button > choose the photo from your computer files you wish to upload and click "open" > then click the "Add" button.
To upload a photo from your PROFILE page: Click the "Photo" tab > you will be at the upload photo page > click "Add new photo" button >click the "browse files" button > choose the photo from your computer files you wish to upload and click "open" > then click the "Add" button.
You may only upload photos that are in JPG, GIF, or PNG file format, with a maximum size of 4 MB altogether. If yoz reach this size you can’t upload more photos or you have to delete another one before you upload a new one.
Your photo should appear on your profile page after the page has reloaded. Please keep in mind that because of system updates your photo may not appear for up to 24 hours.
How do I add a title (caption) to a photo?
To add a Title (caption) to a photo: click the "Profile" link at the top navigation menu of any Yoopyou page > click Photos tab > click on „Modify” button next to the photo you want to add a title (caption) > fill out Title of Photo text box > click the "Modify" button to save it.
How do I edit an existing photo Title (caption)?
To edit an existing photo Title (caption): click the "Profile" link at the top navigation menu of any Yoopyou page > click Photos tab > click on „Modify” button next to the photo you want to edit > edit the existing Title of Photo text box > if ready, click the "Modify" button.
How do I change my Primary Photo?
To change your primary photo, click on „Profile” on the top navigation menu and select „Photos” tab.
Select the photo you would like to promote as primary photo, and click „Modify” button next to it.
Find „Primary Photo” and change it form „no” to „yes”.
Click on „Modify” button below.
How do I delete a photo?
To delete an existing photo: click the "Profile" link at the top navigation menu of any Yoopyou page > click Photos tab > click on „Modify” button next to the photo you want to delete > click „Delete” button to delete this photo.
How do I upload my Resume (CV)?
It is important to you to find a much better salary! Log in and click „Profile” in the top navigation menu. The appearing tab is „Raw Data” > Scroll down and select „Blowse…” at Resume. > choose the CV (Resume) from your computer files you wish to upload > click the "Add" button.
NOTE: The file you would like to upload as a resume, must be .doc, .pdf or .rtf.
Who can view my availabilites? (phone number, email, postal address, skype)
Only your friends (also known as 1st degree friends) - These are the people you have directly added as friends or Contacts to your Yoopyou profile. Only these people will see your availability. Other members will not see any of your availability. Non members that find you in a search will also not see your availabities.
How do I personalize my URL?
You can personalize your URL by going to "Profile" and choosing „Raw Data” tab. There you enter your personalized username into the „Site Name (personal URL)” form field. If the Site Name you choose is already taken, you will be prompted to try again. Site Names must be between 4-25 characters and cannot contain any special characters with the exception of underscores. From time to time, Yoopyou may have to reclaim personalized URLs based on copyright and trademark violations and/or incorrect usage. Users will be given the option to choose a new personalized URL. Spam: how do I report abuse on Yoopyou
To report abusive behavior on Yoopyou > open the profile of member you wish to report > scroll down to the lower portion of the page and CLICK "I you find this profile offensive, please report it to us and we will take appropriate action!" link.
On the next page check the box(es) that reflect the violation you wish to report > then click "Report". Your report will go to Yoopyou's Abuse Team for review.
